American Working Dog Association

Top Flight K9's owner/trainer, Eric Collins, is proud to be a certifying agent for the American Working Dog Association. It is rapidly becoming the certification of choice for all forms of the working dog, both police and private citizen. The AWDA's strict standards for detection, patrol, search and rescue, protection, and obedience have set this group apart from weaker agencies. When the founders of this organization sat down to create a certification standard for police k9 work, they left no stone unturned. What sets the AWDA apart from other agencies is the realism in which the standards are set. This is by far the toughest standard for a working police k9 team to be tested against!

In less than ten years, the AWDA's membership has grown to over 500 members!   Due to the rapid growth of our membership and the success of our seminars and certification, the AWDA has expanded from its beginnings in eastern North Carolina to an agency that can service departments in both North and South America.

For any department with a k9 that we did not train, Top Flight K9 can run a certification test for both patrol and detection work. Eric also serves as the National Director of Decoys for the AWDA and can certify anyone wishing to become a police k9 decoy. Decoy schools are often offered at our AWDA seminars, check the AWDA website for availability and times. Please contact Eric Collins with any questions or comments at (704) 421-5925 during business hours or by email at k9flash@topflightk9.com. Please visit the American Working Dog Association website at www.americanworkingdog.com to keep up with seminar dates as well as contact information for our national officers.
